FilmOffaly Award Winner 2018. Aretha is written and directed by Dave Thomas, produced by Jason Forde (Four Quadrant Films) and stars Orla Casey, Conor Mullen (Holby City, Rough Diamond), Hilda Fay (Whistleblower) and Denise McCormack (Love/Hate, Red Rock).

This is a heart warming short film about 18 year old Aretha who wishes to work in a busy restaurant. She faces many challenges, she knows she is capable but  one of her biggest obstacles is convincing the manager that she has the right abilities and that she as a young woman with down syndrome can cope in a fast paced restaurant.
